U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance stated this Thursday that he is prepared to assume the presidency in the event that President Donald Trump is incapacitated by a “terrible tragedy”.
In an interview with USA Today, Vance emphasized that the nearly “200 days of training” in executive functions have made him a viable immediate replacement, although he insisted that Trump is in good health and has “incredible energy”, despite his 79 years.
Vance reiterated that the president retains an uncommon vitality: “He is the last to go to sleep, he is the last to make calls at night and the first to wake up to resume them in the morning,” he assured. And he acknowledged that, although almost all of his collaborators are younger, Trump maintains more extensive workdays.
