A man was arrested in Arlington, Virginia, after allegedly stealing more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from an Ulta Beauty store in Fairfax County, according to the information provided.
Shortly before 4 p.m., Arlington County police were notified that a suspect wanted in connection with the alleged theft had been tracked to another Ulta Beauty location at Pentagon City Mall.
Officers later located the suspect near Army Navy Drive and S. Joyce Street, just blocks from the Arlington store, and stopped the vehicle around 4 p.m.
Police also believe the suspect wore a wig in an attempt to appear as a woman during the alleged theft in Fairfax County.
Several clothing items and other valuables were reportedly recovered from the vehicle. Authorities in Fairfax County are expected to provide additional details about the original alleged theft.
