Águilas Cibaeñas bolster their bullpen with Dolis, Silven, and Pérez

SANTIAGO. – With the aim of consolidating a dominant pitching staff for the next season of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), the Águilas Cibaeñas announced the hiring of the rights of Rafael Dolis, Yoelvin Silven and Kenyi Pérez.

The incorporations are part of the Baseball Operations department’s strategy to strengthen the intermediate and final innings of the game, combining proven experience at the highest level with promising young talent.

Experience, consistency, and projection

Rafael Dolis (RHP) arrives as the main veteran piece. With experience in Major Leagues and the Japanese league (NPB), his ability to pitch in pressure situations makes him a natural candidate for closing roles. In LIDOM, he has a 7-5 record and a 2.68 ERA in seven seasons. During 2025, with the Hanshin Tigers, he recorded a solid 1.93 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 18.2 innings.

For his part, Yoelvin Silven arrives after an outstanding participation in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) with the Caribes de Anzoátegui. He is a resilient reliever, with the capacity for prolonged work and good command, evidenced by his 24 strikeouts in 20.2 innings during 2025. Meanwhile, Kenyi Pérez represents the bet for the future. The Chicago Cubs prospect (Class A+) comes from an outstanding season with South Bend, where he recorded an impressive rate of 12.5 strikeouts per nine innings (55 in 39.2 innings). At 24 years old, his power pitcher profile positions him as a piece of immediate impact.
