Águilas Cibaeñas will open Early Camp on September 15 at the Cibao Stadium

SANTIAGO, RD.- The Águilas Cibaeñas announced the start of their optional Early Camp starting Monday, September 15th at the Estadio Cibao, as part of their preparation for the 2025-2026 season of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM).

This initial camp will be voluntary, allowing players to start working on their fitness and arrive in optimal condition for official training. The complete Águilas Camp is scheduled to begin on September 22, a date on which the integration of all available players in the country is expected.

“The beginning of these training sessions marks the first steps in preparing our team for the 2025-2026 season. We seek to strengthen each of our players’ abilities and achieve the cohesion necessary to form a solid and competitive team,” expressed René Francisco, Vice President of Baseball Operations for the Águilas Cibaeñas.

The training sessions will be led by the coaching staff led by manager Luis “Pipe” Urueta, who will join the team as soon as he concludes his commitments with the Texas Rangers in the Major Leagues. The Cibaeñas Eagles, 22-time national champions, are preparing for the tournament dedicated to Juan Marichal, which begins on October 15, and whose main objective is to conquer the number 23 crown. Currently, the organization maintains several of its active players in Major Leagues, minor leagues, the Mexican Baseball League and the Japan League, while the management, headed by René Francisco and the general manager Gian Guzmán, continues working on the roster formation and the hiring of reinforcements for the next season,
