SANTO DOMINGO — The president of the Dominican Baseball Federation (FEDOM), Juan Núñez, confirmed that José Ramírez remains firm and enthusiastic about his participation in the Dominican Republic national team for the upcoming World Baseball Classic, dismissing versions that emerged on social media this Monday that pointed to a supposed resignation of the tricolor team.

FEDOM highlighted that Ramírez’s position aligns with the statements the player himself has made publicly on various occasions, in which he has expressed his full willingness to join the team and contribute in the role that the coaching staff deems necessary. Recently, the Dominican third baseman was emphatic in an interview with journalist Héctor Gómez, where he stated: “I will be on the front lines of the team giving 100%”, Ramírez also made it clear that he is willing to adjust to the needs of the team, whether defending third base or performing as a designated hitter, always prioritizing the success of the Dominican team.
