With just days left on the calendar, each game takes on a crucial value. The Águilas Cibaeñas (30-15) and the Toros del Este (25-20) have already guaranteed their classification, so attention is now focused on the fight for positions three and four. The Leones del Escogido and the Estrellas Orientales share third place with a record of 21-25, while the Gigantes del Cibao (20-25) remain only half a game away. Meanwhile, the Tigres del Licey (19-26) are going through a negative streak of five consecutive losses and are obliged to react immediately to stay alive in the competition.

Tight schedule and minimal margin for error

Lions and Stars have four games remaining, while Giants and Tigers still have five games to play. The direct confrontations between these teams could completely redefine the standings in each round. The regular season will conclude on Tuesday, December 23, with two scheduled games:
  • Gigantes del Cibao vs. Tigres del Licey, at Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium
  • Toros del Este vs. Águilas Cibaeñas, at Cibao Stadium
The Round Robin is scheduled to start on December 27, as long as it is not necessary to extend the regular season.

Key Games of the Day

This Friday’s billboard presents decisive matchups for the immediate future of the tournament:

Total pressure until the end

In any scenario, the tension will be maximum. Not only is the classification to the Round Robin at stake, but also the pride and history of the franchises in a tournament dedicated to the immortal of Cooperstown Juan Marichal and played for the Banreservas Cup. The final stretch promises intense emotions until the last out.
