Freddy Peralta's tenth victory in Brewers' 9-1 rout of Dodgers

Milwaukee. — Dominican right-hander Freddy Peralta tied up the Dodgers’ bats and earned his tenth win of the year, leading the Milwaukee Brewers to a resounding 9-1 victory over Los Angeles on Monday night at American Family Field. With this performance, Peralta consolidates himself as one of the most consistent pitchers of the 2025 season.

Peralta (10-4), selected for the National League All-Star Game, pitched six scoreless innings, limiting the Dodgers to five hits and one walk, while lowering his ERA to 2.74. It was a dominant performance by the Dominican starter, who continues to demonstrate his quality in each start.

On the offensive side, debutant Andrew Vaughn made his mark immediately. Called up from the minor leagues the same day after the injury of Rhys Hoskins, the former White Sox player hit a three-run home run in his first at-bat with Milwaukee. The hit, of 409 feet, makes him only the fifth player in club history to hit a home run in his first at-bat.

The night was difficult for the Dodgers’ Japanese starter, Yoshinobu Yamamoto (8-7), who didn’t make it past the first inning and recorded the shortest outing of his career, allowing four runs and retiring only two batters. The Dodgers’ only annotation came in the eighth inning with a run-scoring single by Dominican Esteury Ruiz, when the game was already widely decided.
