Dominicans shining in the offensive elite

The four Dominican representatives reflect the Caribbean impact in the 2025 season:
  • Juan Soto (Mets): Led the National League in on-base percentage (OBP) and was a constant threat at the plate.
  • Manny Machado (Padres): Maintained his consistency as one of the most productive and powerful third basemen in the circuit.
  • Ketel Marte (D-backs): Was Arizona’s offensive engine, with a batting average above .300 and high contact in decisive moments.
  • Geraldo Perdomo (D-backs): Established himself as one of the most complete shortstops, combining discipline and offensive versatility.

The Silver Slugger Award is decided by a vote of National League managers and coaches, who choose the best offensive players for each position based on statistics such as batting average, OPS, home runs, RBIs, and total bases, in addition to their overall impact on the game. The American League finalists will be revealed this Thursday, October 23.
