SANTO DOMINGO. – The Directorate of the National Baseball Commissioner (DCNB) held a Christmas lunch for the benefit of children and young people who are part of the different baseball leagues in the
La Zurza sector, in an activity headed by
Junior Noboa, national baseball commissioner and former Major League player.

During the meeting, which lasted for more than three hours, Noboa shared directly with more than a hundred children, coaches, and community residents, in an atmosphere of brotherhood and joy typical of the Christmas season.
The DCNB offered a lunch that included fruits and refreshments, a gesture that was received with gratitude by the participants. The day also included the raffle and delivery of
balls and gloves to the children belonging to the six baseball leagues that operate in the sector.
Noboa toured the tables and shared food with the infants, whom he urged to continue their development in baseball without neglecting their academic training, highlighting that education is the fundamental basis for their personal and social growth.
“We are very pleased to share this lunch on the occasion of the Christmas holidays with the children and coaches of the La Zurza leagues, who do an admirable job guiding these young people on the path of good,” Noboa expressed.
The commissioner highlighted that La Zurza is a sector of special attention for the DCNB, an institution that constantly supports its leagues with the delivery of equipment and support for its sporting events, as part of its commitment to the development of grassroots baseball.
He also indicated that these actions respond to the will of President
Luis Abinader to bring the institutions of the State to the most needy communities. “That is our job as public servants: to be close to our people,” he said.
For his part,
Félix Alberto Dicent thanked the permanent support of the DCNB and Junior Noboa from the beginning of his management, while positively valuing the presence of a governmental institution in the community.
“It’s the first time a state entity has come to La Zurza and offered a lunch of this magnitude, as well as holding raffles for the children. We are very grateful,” said Dicent.
Noboa also expressed his gratitude to the
Economic Dining Rooms of the Dominican State, as well as to its director

Sanut, for the support provided for the realization of the activity.
