Santiago.- A man identified as 30-year-old Dany Antonio Severino Coronado was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head in some bushes in the community of Guayacanal, in Santiago, while his relatives report that he had been missing for several hours and are demanding an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
According to preliminary information provided by their relatives, the body was located in a remote area, under circumstances that have caused consternation among their family members, who claim that the victim had been pursued following an incident that occurred during the early morning hours.
The sister of the deceased, Gleny Coronado, related that around 2:00 in the morning Dany Antonio was at the home of his former romantic partner and that, after an incident, the woman had allegedly threatened to call the Police because he was supposedly under the influence of alcohol.

According to their version, police officers had initiated a pursuit of the young man, and during the chase, a gunshot was reportedly heard. However, they stated that from that moment on, the family lost all contact with him and began a desperate search.

He narrated that, while they were searching for his brother, they found some of his belongings, including his sneakers, ID card, and cell phone, in the vicinity of a ravine, a situation that increased the family’s concern.

For his part, Joel Claudio Coronado, the deceased’s uncle, described the circumstances in which his nephew’s disappearance and subsequent discovery occurred as strange, and therefore asked the authorities to clarify the case as soon as possible.
The family member also called on anyone who has information about what happened to cooperate with the authorities and the family.
“It is a very strange situation and we want it to be clarified as quickly as possible. Here there is a mother, siblings, and uncles who are desperate,” he/she expressed.
Another of his uncles, Raymundo Coronado, insisted that the family needs to know what happened during the hours that Dany Antonio remained missing.
The discovery of the corpse in the Guayacanal thickets has raised questions about the exact circumstances of his death. It will be up to the authorities to determine, through the corresponding investigations, how the events occurred and to establish responsibilities.
