LOS ÁNGELES.- In a night dedicated to his figure, Shohei Ohtani put on a memorable show. The Japanese star hit two home runs and drove in six runs to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers’ crushing 19-2 victory over the Oakland Athletics, solidifying their dominance at home and reaching the top of the Major League home run standings.

With this victory, the Dodgers secured their sixth consecutive series win, improving their home record to 17-4, the best in all of the majors.
Ohtani not only dazzled with his power, but also tied Aaron Judge and Kyle Schwarber for the home run lead with 15 on the season, thanks to a two-run hit of 418 feet to center field in the fourth inning. It was his twentieth multi-home run game of his MLB career.
The Angels’ offensive was relentless from the start: they scored three runs in the first inning —including a two-run homer by Max Muncy— and added another three in the second, where Ohtani also drove in one with a sacrifice fly.

In the third inning, the bats exploded with a seven-run rally. Hyeseong Kim opened with a run-scoring single, followed by a three-run home run by Ohtani and a long home run by Andy Pagés with two outs, which put the score at 13-2.
Pagés, the young Cuban gardener, finished with one run and three RBIs. Kim reached base five times and scored three runs, solidifying himself as a valuable offensive engine.
Starting pitcher Justin Wrobleski (1-1) earned his first major league win.
