SANTO DOMINGO.– The executive director of the National Baseball Commissioner’s Office (DCNB), Junior Noboa, announced this Tuesday the designation of the investigator Publio Peláez as head of investigation of the entity.

In his new role, Peláez will be in charge of the
verification of the identity and age processes of the players who aspire to sign for professional baseball. Likewise, he will be responsible for the
supervision of baseball academies and leagues throughout the national territory, as part of the efforts to strengthen the
integrity and transparency in the training and hiring of young talents.
“Our Directorate continues to strengthen with the integration of Publio Peláez, a researcher with an exemplary career, who for more than 25 years headed the anti-fraud department of the United States Consulate with transparency and efficiency,” Noboa said, referring to the appointment, which will be made on an honorary basis.
Peláez has more than
25 years of experience in institutional research and control work, serving as head of the anti-fraud department of the
United States Consulate in Santo Domingo, which gives him extensive knowledge in the field of compliance and process verification.
In thanking for the trust placed in him, Peláez stated that he will put all his experience, knowledge, and commitment at the service of the DCNB, with the aim of contributing to the strengthening of the institution and the orderly development of national baseball.
