The Puerto Rico team defeated Aruba’s team in a dramatic game with a score of 12 runs to 11, with the game being decided in the seventh inning due to a walk to the Puerto Rican player Damián Rivas, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances, and in this way his team maintains hopes of achieving qualification for the 2026 World Cup, now with a record of 3-1. Puerto Rico was easily winning the game 10 runs to 2, as Aruba had scored their first two runs in the first inning, but in the fifth Aruba managed five runs and in the seventh four more to go ahead 11 to 10.

Puerto Rico manufactured 10 unanswered runs and in the fourth inning was already ahead 10 to 2.

Aruba did the same and scored nine consecutive runs, five in the fifth and four in the seventh to turn the scoreboard around, before the last offensive opportunity for the Puerto Ricans.
