John Wall, five-time All-Star, announces his retirement after 11 seasons in the NBA

Washington. – Point guard John Wall, selected first overall in the 2010 draft and considered one of the most explosive playmakers of his generation, announced his official retirement from the NBA this Tuesday after 11 seasons.

At 34 years old, Wall says goodbye with averages of 18.7 points and 8.9 assists per game, figures that place him among the best point guards of the last decade. He played most of his career with the Washington Wizards, although he also wore the uniforms of the Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Clippers. “Today I retire from the court, but not from basketball. Basketball will always be present in my life and new opportunities arise. I feel that now is the time to confidently face my next chapter,” Wall expressed in a statement published on his social media.
