Asunción. – An intense storm with torrential rains that has been hitting the Gran Asunción region since Tuesday morning forced the rescheduling of several sports disciplines of the ASU2025 Junior Pan American Games, which are being held in the Paraguayan capital. Extended alert in Paraguay

The Meteorology Directorate extended the storm alert, noting that the bad weather will extend beyond Gran Asunción and will affect ten departments of the country. Among the most affected regions are Central, San Pedro, Caaguazú, Caazapá, Itapúa, Misiones, Paraguarí, Ñeembucú and Presidente Hayes. Despite the complications, the organizing committee of the Games assured that they are working on logistical adjustments to maintain the schedule and guarantee the safety of athletes, officials, and the general public.
