SANTO DOMINGO.– Dominican center Karl-Anthony Towns, star of the New York Knicks in the NBA, announced this Wednesday his engagement to his partner Jordyn Woods, in a news item that he shared during the Christmas celebration through his social networks.

Towns announced the engagement through a joint Instagram post with Woods, accompanied by the message “Marry Christmas”, which immediately generated a wave of congratulations from family, friends, teammates, and followers. The couple, who have been in a relationship since 2020, has openly shared significant moments of their personal lives. Last November, on the occasion of the player’s 30th birthday, Woods surprised Towns with a gesture full of emotion: the restoration of a black Isuzu Trooper from the 90s, a vehicle that belonged to the late mother of the basketball player, Jacqueline Cruz-Towns. Woods recounted in his post that the idea came about after Towns confessed that, if he could drive any vehicle for a day, he would choose the car his mother used when he was a child.
