Karl-Anthony Towns announces engagement to Jordyn Woods on Christmas

SANTO DOMINGO.– Dominican center Karl-Anthony Towns, star of the New York Knicks in the NBA, announced this Wednesday his engagement to his partner Jordyn Woods, in a news item that he shared during the Christmas celebration through his social networks.

Towns announced the engagement through a joint Instagram post with Woods, accompanied by the message “Marry Christmas”, which immediately generated a wave of congratulations from family, friends, teammates, and followers. The couple, who have been in a relationship since 2020, has openly shared significant moments of their personal lives. Last November, on the occasion of the player’s 30th birthday, Woods surprised Towns with a gesture full of emotion: the restoration of a black Isuzu Trooper from the 90s, a vehicle that belonged to the late mother of the basketball player, Jacqueline Cruz-Towns. Woods recounted in his post that the idea came about after Towns confessed that, if he could drive any vehicle for a day, he would choose the car his mother used when he was a child. After several months of searching and restoration, he managed to surprise him on his birthday. In addition to the personal announcement, Towns closed out Christmas also celebrating in sports. The Knicks defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 126-124, after a spectacular comeback of 17 points in the last quarter, led by Jalen Brunson, who scored 34 points in a vibrant match played at Madison Square Garden.
