The project is executed by the Presidential Commission for Provincial Development and will be in charge of Constructora Hurtado, as part of the governmental plan aimed at the rescue and modernization of sports spaces in different communities of the country. The intervention contemplates a total area of 697.71 square meters and includes the reconstruction of the courts, construction of bleachers and bathrooms, renovation of the first and second level with multipurpose rooms, as well as the rehabilitation of the exterior environment. The new courts will be roofed with a metal structure and aluzinc cover, and will have basketball backboards, a scoreboard and a complete kit for the practice of volleyball. Likewise, the multipurpose rooms will be equipped with furniture for educational, cultural and community activities.This roofing is added to other works already delivered in the Deportivo Fantástico, Gregorio Luperón and Gustavo Behal clubs. In addition, the upcoming start of work is planned in the 12 de Octubre and Liga Miramar clubs, expanding the scope of the sports development program in the province.
The Hugo Kunhardt Club, founded in 1964 by a group of sportsmen led by the late Otilio Mirabel, has historically been a benchmark in the promotion of sport and community integration in the INVI neighborhood.
