National: Anniversaries of June 13

• 1924: The Constituent Assembly establishes the presidential and vice-presidential term at four years, abolishes the death penalty, allows presidential reelection, and prohibits the printing of paper money.
• 1931: A contingent of 132 men (soldiers dressed in civilian clothes and criminal prisoners) leaves the San Luis fortress in Santiago bound for Mao, as an advance guard for the Trujillo regime’s persecution of the popular leader Desiderio Arias and his men.
• 1958: Engineer Guido D’alessandro Tavárez reveals that the United States Army announced to the Dominican general Rafael (Ramfis) Trujillo Martínez that it would not grant him the diploma as a graduate of the General Staff course at Fort Leavenworth College, which cooled relations between the Dominican Republic and the United States.
• 1961: President Joaquín Balaguer receives a cablegram in response to one of his own, in which the PRD leadership informs him of their willingness to send several representatives to the country.

• 2021: The deputy attorney general and director of Prosecution of the Public Ministry, Yeni Berenice Reynoso, refers for the first time to the alleged plot against her, for which there is an open investigation against those accused in the Antipulpo case.
