Santo Domingo.– The Supérate program recognized 35 female entrepreneurs this Thursday during the sixth edition of Supérate Mujer 2026, in a ceremony led by President Luis Abinader.
The award-winning women are part of the Super-entrepreneur program and were recognized for the effort they have put into their businesses and for how entrepreneurship has allowed them to improve their economic situation and that of their families.
During the event, the Director of Social Development of Supérate, Mayra Jiménez, highlighted that this initiative, promoted by President Abinader, seeks to give visibility to women who represent the entrepreneurial spirit of Dominican women.
“On this occasion, we are going to recognize 35 female entrepreneurs from 14 provinces of the country. With them, we add up to 146 women who have been recognized as Super-entrepreneurs throughout our government administration,” he/she expressed.
Jiménez stated that the award winners are an example of effort, perseverance, and transformation, noting that their stories inspire other women to move forward.

“I have read your stories and I have learned of your struggles, of your fears, but also of your victories. Each one has a different path, but all share the same reality: a great inner strength to never give up and to keep moving forward for your well-being, that of your families, and that of your communities,” she stated.
The official also linked the recognition to the social advances recently announced by the Government, recalling that this week President Abinader reported that the Dominican Republic reached the Zero Hunger goal.

“When public policies are planned and executed with people at the center, especially the most vulnerable, it is possible to transform realities and guarantee rights as important as food,” he/she maintained.
In addition to recognition, the activity seeks to share stories of women who have managed to strengthen their businesses to motivate other Dominican women to undertake and achieve their economic independence.
The awards were presented in the categories of Agriculture and Livestock, Digital Commerce and Sales, Creativity and Design, Beauty and Wellness, Gastronomy and Production, Manufacturing and Innovation.
In total, 35 female entrepreneurs from 14 provinces of the country were recognized, who were distinguished for their dedication, perseverance, and growth in their respective businesses.
