All set for the Grand Final of the II Wellington Terrero “Pitu” Cup In Memoriam

Santo Domingo. – The excitement of vitilla reaches its peak with the celebration of the Grand Final of the II Wellington Terrero “Pitu” Cup In Memoriam 2025, organized by the Dominican Vitilla League (LIDOVI). After intense qualifiers in different locations, sixteen teams earned their spot and are now preparing for the most important stage of the competition. The protagonists of this great event are: Halcones de Los Mina, Team Adael, Team Yipón de Los Guandules, Angels de Sabana Perdida, Team Valiente, Vitilleros del Faro a Colón, Tigres de Lucerna, Tucanos del Almirante, Reyes de Bameso, Team Villa Consuelo, LVP 1, LVP 2, Marineros del Distrito, Tiburones del Distrito, Elegidos de Los Frailes and Team La Pared de Sabana Perdida. The first edition of the cup was won by the Halcones de Los Mina Viejo, who will now seek to maintain their legacy in this second edition. The final will take place in the parking lot of the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium in Santo Domingo, this Sunday, August 24, starting at 9:30 AM, with the presence of sports authorities and lovers of the “tapa y palo” sport, in a day that promises to be historic. Youth Category This edition will feature a youth category (11-13 years old), with eight teams participating and showcasing the talent that promises the future of Dominican vitilla.
