Army detains 130 undocumented foreigners during operations carried out in Mao, Amina and Pueblo Nuevo

Valverde. – Patrols of the Dominican Republic Army (ERD) intercepted 130 Haitian nationals with irregular migratory status during operations carried out in the localities of Mao, Amina and the Pueblo Nuevo sector.
Among the undocumented foreigners detained are 82 men and 48 women.

Military authorities reported that all foreigners were transferred to the headquarters of the 4th Infantry Brigade of the ERD, and subsequently handed over to the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) for repatriation procedures.

The ERD reiterates its commitment to continue strengthening border security and supporting the other State entities in compliance with the established laws. Dominican Republic Army (ERD).
