Army detains undocumented Haitian nationals on motorcycles in coastal area of Montecristi

Montecristi. – During an interdiction operation carried out in Hatillo Palma and in the coastal area of Montecristi, members of the Dominican Republic Army intercepted eight (8) Haitian nationals in irregular migratory condition. The ERD patrol intercepted the foreigners in an operation in which three motorcycles were seized, a Super Gato CG200, blue, driven by Miguel Ángel Mayor Tavera, who was transporting two undocumented individuals. The Z3000 CG200 motorcycles, black color, and Benye CG200, red color, were also seized. Among those arrested are six men, one woman, and a minor, including the motorcycle drivers. The foreigners, the people detained along with the occupied motorcycles, and the identified detainee were transferred under custody to the San Fernando Fortress of the ERD in Montecristi, for the corresponding legal purposes.

These operations are permanently maintained in the border area, in compliance with the provisions of the General Commander of the Dominican Republic Army.
