Santo Domingo. – The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (
CCPIT) announced the holding of the China People’s Republic Trade Exhibition, Dominican Republic 2025, which will take place from October 10 to 13, 2025 at the Dominican Fiesta Hotel Convention Center, in Santo Domingo.
Dai Gaosheng, deputy representative of the CCPIT Office in Costa Rica, indicated that this event marks a milestone in the economic and commercial relations between both countries, as it constitutes the second Chinese trade exhibition organized in Dominican territory.
The objective is to strengthen the ties of cooperation between Chinese and Dominican companies, deepen bilateral exchanges, and promote the development of China–Dominican Republic economic relations towards broader and higher quality levels.
In that sense, Biviana Riveiro Disla, executive director of ProDominicana, expressed that since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2018, China and the Dominican Republic have strengthened their mutual political trust, increased their economic cooperation, and promoted an increasingly active cultural exchange.
For his part, Roberto Santana Sánchez, founding president of the Dominican-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, indicated that “this important fair in the Dominican Republic in 2025 makes it possible to further promote the development of economic and commercial relations between China and the Dominican Republic, raising the overall level of cooperation between China and the countries of Central America and the Caribbean.”
Likewise, Ms. Zhao Wenru, second secretary of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the DR, assured that the commercial expo will become a new platform for open cooperation between China and the Dominican Republic.
As the most dynamic engine of the supply chain, Chinese companies are willing to strengthen docking and cooperation with the Dominican business community and enhance bilateral economic and trade exchanges, in order to benefit both peoples and, jointly, send the strongest voice to maintain the stability and smooth functioning of the global industrial and supply chain.
Currently, China is the second most important trading partner of the Dominican Republic worldwide, while the Caribbean country is positioned as a strategic ally for China in the Caribbean region.
A showcase of innovation, technology, and cooperation
The Commercial Exhibition of the People’s Republic of China, Dominican Republic 2025 will feature over 2,000 square meters of exhibition space and the participation of 37 prominent Chinese companies. Visitors will be able to appreciate China’s advances in scientific innovation, green development, and cutting-edge technology in sectors such as new energy, intelligent manufacturing, and electronic information.
Among the exhibitors are global industry leaders such as Gree, LONGi, Hytera, and Midea, as well as specialized and innovative companies such as Hubei Jinlong New Materials Co., Ltd., Sinomach CMEC New Energy Development Co., Ltd., and Quzhou Rongqiang Chemical Co., Ltd.

The products on display will encompass a wide range including renewable energies, industrial and agricultural machinery, automobiles and accessories, medical supplies, household appliances, security products, and consumer goods, all aligned with the development needs of the Dominican market.

During the days of the event, an extensive program of complementary activities will be developed:
October 10: Opening Ceremony and China-Dominican Republic Trade and Investment Forum.
October 11: Special Forum “How to Export to China.”
October 13: Conference on Cooperation in the China-Dominican Republic International Supply Chain.
This exhibition represents a strategic platform for economic and commercial cooperation. It will allow more Chinese brands to strengthen their presence in Latin America and will facilitate Dominican and regional companies to access the enormous Chinese market and integrate into the global industrial chain.
