Santo Domingo. – The Foundation for Justice and Local Development (FUJUDEL), in its commitment to strengthening the democratic and electoral system of the Dominican Republic, expresses its support for the beginning of the process of receiving proposals for the formation of the Electoral Boards, announced by the Central Electoral Board (JCE).
According to the approach of Pablo Vicente, president of FUJUDEL, “the active participation of the different sectors of society in this process is key to ensuring that the Electoral Boards are impartial, efficient and representative bodies, fundamental for the transparent organization of electoral processes in the country.”
FUJUDEL pointed out that this process constitutes a decisive opportunity for citizens and political organizations to contribute responsibly, ensuring that the Electoral Boards are made up of suitable people committed to democratic values and the public interest.
According to the specialist in electoral law and leader of civil society, Pablo Vicente, “this process is a historic opportunity to strengthen citizen confidence in electoral institutions and ensure that the Electoral Boards reflect the principles of impartiality, transparency, and commitment to democracy that our society demands.”
