Director of Sports leads cleaning operation at Punta Arena Beach ahead of Holy Week 2026

Samaná.- Within the framework of preparations for Holy Week 2026, the provincial director of Sports, Juan Carlos Díaz, led a cleaning and conditioning operation at Playa Punta Arena, located in the community of La Majagua, Sánchez municipality. The Director of Sports was accompanied by a wide representation of collaborators from the institution, who actively participated in the work, reinforcing the entity’s commitment to the well-being of the community. The operation also had the support of the Development Committee of La Majagua, Councilor Ramón González, Deputy Mayor Mariel Rodríguez and community members, working together to ensure a safe and clean space for residents and visitors.

During the day, tasks were carried out to collect solid waste, general cleaning and conditioning of the area, contributing to maintaining one of the main natural attractions of the municipality in optimal conditions. The authorities highlighted the importance of these types of initiatives, especially in the run-up to Holy Week, when the influx of visitors increases, and called on citizens to collaborate in the conservation and care of public spaces.
