DNCD and Public Ministry seize more than 13,000 grams of drugs in operations in Greater Santo Domingo
Santo Domingo. – A total of more than 13,000 grams of narcotic substances were seized during simultaneous operations carried out in different sectors of Greater Santo Domingo, where 27 people were also arrested for their alleged links to micro-trafficking.
The interventions were carried out by agents of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) in coordination with the Public Ministry, following intelligence actions developed in areas previously identified as drug distribution points.
During the operations, portions of cocaine, marijuana, crack, and other controlled substances were seized, which were distributed in small quantities in different neighborhoods of the capital and surrounding municipalities.
Authorities explained that the actions included raids and surveillance operations in the National District, as well as in Santo Domingo East and West, where surveillance was maintained on structures dedicated to the sale of drugs.
