Santo Domingo.-Doctor Alexandra Hichez, a psychiatrist specializing in general and liaison psychiatry, addictions, psycho-oncology, and forensic psychiatry, participated in the presentation of the book The Mark of Seven Women by author Gilmer Martínez, where she highlighted the importance of the role of women in society and the need to strengthen values and mental health.
During her intervention, the specialist expressed that it was an honor to accompany the author in the presentation of a work that, in her opinion, emphatically highlights the relevance of women in different scenarios of history. She also pointed out that the launch of the book takes on greater significance when it takes place in the context of the commemoration of International Women’s Day, a date that recognizes the legacy of those women who, regardless of their time, marked a before and after in society. Hichez indicated that it is fundamental to promote values such as perseverance, work, intuition, and faith, qualities that have historically characterized many women and that continue to be necessary today to build a healthier and more balanced society.
