Family, friends, and national public figures bid farewell to Socorro Castellanos

Santo Domingo.- In an intimate wake attended by family, friends, and well-known figures from national public life, the remains of the pioneer of communication in the Dominican Republic, Socorro Castellanos, were mourned, who passed away on the night of Wednesday, June 11th, after 8:30 pm. Castellanos, considered “The Lady of Communication”, passed away at the age of 84 after suffering for several years from health problems, derived from lung cancer, “this being a very difficult disease to face”, revealed her great friend, the communicator Mariasela Álvarez.
