Fine Arts celebrates the success of its award-winning artists at the Soberano Awards 2026
Santo Domingo. – The General Directorate of Fine Arts (DGBA) expressed its pride and extended its congratulations to the artists of this institution who were awarded at the 41st edition of the Soberano Awards 2026 of the Association of Art Chroniclers (Acroarte), held on Wednesday, March 18 at the National Theater “Eduardo Brito”.
Among them, Maestro José Antonio Molina, director of the National Symphony Orchestra, stood out with the production “Molina & Veitía: Music in Motion,” presented on May 31, 2025, in the Carlos Piantini Hall. The show, conceived by the director of the National Theater, Carlos Veitía, for the National Symphony Orchestra, paid tribute to the centenary of the influential musician Papa Molina, as well as the outstanding career of the musical director himself.
In the theatrical field, Indiana Brito, director of the Teatro Rodante, was recognized as Director of the Year for the play “La gran depresión”, presented at the Sala Ravelo of the National Theater between July 4 and 13, 2025.
Similarly, the renowned member of the National Theater Company, Manuel Raposo, won the award for Best Film Actor for his role in “La Bachata de Biónico”, adding this achievement to his recent recognition at the La Silla Awards as Best Leading Actor for the same production.
