Former CIA agent and former Pentagon official details keys to the capture of Nicolás Maduro
Santo Domingo. – The United States Army veteran and former senior intelligence analyst as a contractor for the Central Intelligence Agency and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Ron Aledo, confirmed that the CIA carried out a sophisticated penetration operation of Nicolás Maduro’s inner circle for months.
“The CIA bought off a great many Venezuelan generals, put them on their payroll to facilitate the penetration of the helicopters that captured Maduro,” revealed Aledo, during an exclusive interview with journalist Francisco Tavárez, in the El Demócrata Communication Group.
According to the former analyst, the recruitment process followed established protocols: “They speak with the relatives of these military personnel who live in the United States, identify potential candidates, investigate what they say on Facebook, on X, the National Security Agency (NSA) intercepts their emails and texts to verify their loyalty to the regime.”
Around 32 DEAD CUBAN AGENTS: THE PRICE OF LOYALTY
Revealed, during the interview, that 32 Cuban intelligence officers guarding Maduro “perished defending him to the end”.
“They are very difficult to buy, they are incredibly ideologically indoctrinated,” said the former analyst, who explained that the operation was “so gigantic, so big, so powerful” that not even the legendary Cuban intelligence could prevent it.
AIR DEFENSES DISABLED: BETRAYAL FROM WITHIN
The former Pentagon official confirmed that the recruited generals played a crucial role in neutralizing Venezuelan defenses. “Possibly that same night they told their soldiers ‘you have the night off’, ‘helicopters are going to pass, don’t shoot’, ‘maintain the air defense’,” explained Aledo on how the Delta Force incursion was facilitated.
In addition, these military personnel provided “real-time operational intelligence: where Maduro is exactly, how many people are in his house, how many guards, how many Cuban escorts.” All of this complemented by satellite surveillance and NSA spy drones.
DELCY RODRÍGUEZ: PUPPET PRESIDENT OR INFILTRATOR?
Aledo raised two scenarios about the role of Delcy Rodríguez, the current acting president of Venezuela.
“There is a possibility that she had already been recruited before, as I am sure that other people from Maduro’s inner circle were recruited,” he affirmed.
However, the analyst considers Trump’s “Plan A” more likely: “To govern Venezuela through Delcy Rodríguez, use her as a puppet president, a puppet, so that through her Trump can take over all of Venezuela’s oil.”
“She is between a rock and a hard place,” continued the military expert, “Either she does exactly what Trump says and at least keeps her life, or Plan B is with violence. Any day a missile could fall on them while they sleep.”
THE TRUE OBJECTIVE: PETRODOLLARS AND STOPPING CHINA
Contrary to the official discourse that it is a “police operation against drug trafficking”, Aledo revealed the true geopolitical motivations: “This is incredibly important for Trump because it defends the strength of the petrodollar. By seizing Venezuela’s giant oil reserves, it strengthens the dollar against Russia and China’s attempts to make the yuan an alternative.”
The former analyst also pointed out a secondary objective: “Indirectly overthrow the Cuban government. Without Venezuelan oil and without Venezuelan money, Trump and Rubio hope that the Cuban economy will collapse catastrophically.”
PLAN B: COUP D’ETAT WITH RECRUITED GENERALS
When journalist Francisco Tavárez asked about the future of figures like Diosdado Cabello and Vladimir Padrino López, Aledo was blunt: “These generals who are in the pay of the United States government are still there. If Delcy doesn’t do what Trump says, they can activate them for a military coup. And it’s a coup they’re going to win 100% for sure because they have all the support of United States military intelligence.”
The veteran explained that Trump opted for a single target —Maduro— to “minimize violence and simplify the operation. Having multiple targets would have complicated things and increased the risk of American casualties.”
NO TROOPS ON THE GROUND: TRUMP’S STRATEGY
Asked about the possibility of a military occupation, he ruled out this option: “I don’t think the plan is to send troops because it looks very bad, it would recall colonialism. Besides, we are in an election year. If the Senate or the House falls into Democratic hands in November, Trump’s party is over. He doesn’t want to complicate this with American casualties.”
