The Broad Front and Alianza País reiterated that no State has the right to impose its political, economic or military will on another, and warned that unilateral actions and the use of force constitute a serious violation of the United Nations Charter and of the multilateral mechanisms designed for the peaceful resolution of conflicts.The FA asserted that international solidarity, dialogue, and diplomacy must prevail as the only legitimate ways to resolve differences between States, and urged citizens to actively join this day of defense of sovereignty and international law.“Defending Venezuela’s sovereignty is also defending the right of all peoples to decide their destiny without external interference. We call on the Dominican people to raise their voice in favor of peace, self-determination, and respect for international law,” expressed María Teresa Cabrera, president of the Frente Amplio.
