Government of Costa Rica to open trade office in Jerusalem to strengthen technological ties with Israel

The Government of Costa Rica has decided to open a commercial and investment office in Jerusalem, a measure that seeks to position the Central American country in the main international innovation and technology scenarios, details a note from the EFE agency. According to statements from the Ministry of Foreign Trade, this action is part of a strategy focused on the attraction of strategic investment and the promotion of high-value productive opportunities. Bilateral Deal and Impact Sectors

The opening of this office takes place in a context of strengthening cooperation between both countries. Costa Rica and Israel signed a Free Trade Agreement on December 8th, whose main objective is to facilitate opportunities for both Costa Rican products and high-tech investments. Costa Rica will benefit from Israel’s experience in fields such as innovation, cybersecurity, clean technologies, agrotechnology, digital services, and semiconductors.
