Hayden Panettiere’s death points to pill dealer in Los Angeles, according to media outlet

Los Angeles .- Federal authorities investigating the death of actress Hayden Panettiere have focused their inquiries on Los Angeles (California) and the possibility that the artist obtained prescription pills from a local dealer, as reported this Monday by the Los Angeles Times.

Investigators, including agents from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), questioned several people about the possibility that the actress had ingested counterfeit oxycodone before passing away at the apartment of her boyfriend, actor Brian Hickerson, in Greenville, South Carolina, on August 16, according to sources cited by the newspaper.

The causes of death are pending further investigation. Authorities ruled out signs of violence.

According to information published by People magazine, during the 911 call, staff can be heard talking about an “overdose” and “cardiac arrest”.

Hickerson and his brother were at the South Carolina residence when authorities declared the actress dead.

The boyfriend handed investigators a bag of medication, according to authorities cited by the Los Angeles newspaper.

Panettiere lived in Los Angeles, but Hickerson is a native of Greenville, a place the actress visited constantly.

The actress spoke openly about her personal struggles from childhood to adulthood in her memoir titled ‘This Is Me: A Reckoning’, published in May.

The investigation into Panettiere’s death has once again shed light on the deaths of actor Matthew Perry and rapper Mac Miller, in which criminal charges were filed against their respective drug suppliers and convictions were achieved.

Panettiere began her career as a child star and developed a long career in television and film and is remembered for her role as Claire Bennet in the hit series ‘Heroes’.

And, above all, as Juliette Barnes in the musical drama “Nashville”, for which she received two Golden Globe nominations. A series she starred in for 128 episodes between 2012 and 2018.

She also starred in ‘Remember the Titans’, ‘Raising Helen’, ‘Ice Princess’ and ‘Scream IV’.
