The former Vice President of the Dominican Republic, Margarita Cedeño, highlighted during her participation in the conference “Unleash your potential”, the importance of female leadership and the positive impact of women’s participation in positions of power. In conversation with the press, Cedeño assured that the presence of women in decision-making positions generates concrete changes in the way of governing and leading, providing greater sensitivity and commitment to collective well-being.
According to Cedeño, this empathy-based leadership not only strengthens governance, but also contributes to building more equitable and stable societies, where decisions benefit the population as a whole.“It has been proven that when women are in positions of power, they govern for others, with more empathy, with more vocation for service, with more honesty, with more transparency and for the benefit of all,” affirmed the former vice president.

The political leader stated that the advancements of women in different fields are visible, but that there are still challenges that require greater female participation in politics and in positions of responsibility, making it clear that for this reason, more than a celebration of Women’s Day, it is a commemoration because there is still much to do.“We have made progress, but we still need more,” concluded Cedeño.
