President Abinader offers a formal greeting to his Chilean counterpart, Gabriel Boric

Santiago de Chile.– President Luis Abinader presented his formal greeting to his counterpart from Chile, Gabriel Boric, at the Palacio de La Moneda (Chilean government house). The Dominican ruler arrived at 6:30 P.M. (local time) at the Arturo Merino Benítez Airport in Santiago to attend, along with other heads of State and/or Government, the inauguration as president of the South American nation of José Antonio Kast this March 11th.

On this occasion, the Dominican head of state is accompanied by the first lady, Raquel Arbaje; his daughter Adriana Abinader Arbaje and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Álvarez. The Dominican president is among the heads of state or government who, along with King Felipe VI of Spain, are participating in the inauguration of the elected Chilean leader, who will succeed the current dignitary in office.

Official Activities for this Wednesday

For this Wednesday the 11th, the Dominican president and his official delegation will participate in the solemn ceremony of the transmission of presidential command and taking of the oath to the new Presidential Cabinet in the Hall of Honor of the National Congress of Chile, in Valparaíso. Then, they will attend the lunch offered by the invested President José Antonio Kast Rist and the First Lady, María Pía Adriasola de Kast, in honor of the heads of State and Government, vice presidents and/or prime ministers and special guests to the inauguration at the Cerro Castillo Palace, Viña del Mar. With the official activities concluded, Abinader is scheduled to travel to the Dominican Republic on March 11th.
