The band’s proposal for their fans in Las Vegas
The band has previously put into practice the concept of ‘No Repeat Weekend’, by offering a different show on each of the two nights it presents in the same city. With their ‘M72’ tour, which began in 2023 and will conclude in July of this year, Metallica, founded in 1981 in Los Angeles, has offered two concerts per city, with completely different repertoires on each date. Lars Ulrich, co-founder and drummer of Metallica, assured that the inaugural concert of the Las Vegas venue in 2023 led by U2 was one of the great inspirations for putting on the show.“12 seconds into the inaugural night of Sphere with U2 in 2023, I thought: ‘We have to do it, it’s completely uncharted territory!’. This residency gives us another opportunity to reinvent the way we interact with our fans live. We are more than excited to share this with the world in six months, and we are really looking forward to taking the next step!” points out the statement.
