During the first week of December, the seven kilometers of beaches in this town will give way to public art installations, unique exhibitions, and cultural events that will attract art lovers and curious tourists.“Art Week positions Miami Beach on the international map, offering an experience for the art world that no other city in the world can match,” said Miami Beach Mayor, Steven Meiner.

One of the main fairs will be Art Basel Miami Beach, which will be attended by 283 international galleries from 43 countries and which will open its doors to the public from December 5 to 7 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.Another of the main activities will be ‘No Vacancy, Miami Beach’, a contemporary public art contest that celebrates its sixth edition by presenting the works of twelve artists in twelve of the city’s most emblematic hotels until December 20th. The emblematic Lincoln Road will also take on special importance during this week, which will host fourteen free public art installations, including ‘Mr. Pink Takes Flight’ by Philippe Katerine, ‘Dream Machine’ and ‘Empower Flower’ by Rubem Robierb, or ‘La Herencia Viva’ by Óscar Esteban Martínez. The Pinta Miami fair, which will take place from December 4 to 7 in Coconut Grove, and specializes in Latin American art, and Art Miami, the oldest contemporary art fair in Miami, which will be held from December 2 to 7 in the city center, will host a multitude of reputable galleries.“Art Basel Miami Beach is an event of unparalleled prestige that revitalizes our city,” Meiner stated.
