Ministry of Education activates protocol in preschool in Santo Domingo Este following reports of mistreatment

Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic (MINERD) reported that it activated protocols and immediately began an investigation at an educational center located in the Alma Rosa sector, Santo Domingo Este, after material circulating on social media showed inappropriate conduct. The institution explained that, after learning of the situation, it immediately activated the corresponding action protocol to safeguard the integrity and well-being of the students of the educational center, in addition to initiating an investigation into the facts. The education portfolio indicated that technical staff has been assigned to follow up on this center and investigate the matter to apply the relevant administrative measures and support the actions carried out by the bodies responsible for the protection of children.

Likewise, the governing body of the pre-university system reiterated its commitment to the protection of the rights of children and adolescents within educational spaces, while emphasizing that any conduct that threatens their dignity or safety will be sanctioned.
