“Childhood represents innocence and hope; their life is sacred and must be protected without exception”, the Pastoral stated in a statement.
Faced with this regrettable event, the Women’s Pastoral demanded that the authorities firmly apply the maximum penalty against those responsible, in accordance with the law.

Furthermore, they urgently called on parents and guardians to responsibly and conscientiously take care of their children, reminding them that this is a sacred mission that should not be delegated lightly. They highlighted the importance of loving vigilance, constant communication, and values-based education as fundamental tools for prevention. The Pastoral emphasized that child protection not only involves physical care, but also teaching children to recognize dangerous situations, express any discomfort, and fully trust their parents and caregivers.Finally, the Women’s Pastoral of the Dialogue Table urged Dominican society to awaken its collective conscience, regain the fear of God, compassion, and the commitment to firmly denounce and protect children, so that events like this do not happen again.
