Santo Domingo.- The head of missions for the reality show Planeta Alofoke, Melissa Gate, made the delivery of RD$190,000 pesos to Mr. Héctor Difó, father of the young Wally Difó Durán, who is currently battling against modular B-type leukemia.

Wally remains under strict medical care while receiving specialized treatment to combat this illness. The financial aid was delivered in the name of the crew members and businessman Santiago Matías, through Melissa, who offered words of encouragement and solidarity to the family. “We know that carrying the burden of a person in this condition is very hard economically. The participants gave everything they raised to help a young person have more opportunities for treatment and dignity in the midst of this process,” expressed the Colombian. For his part, the young man’s father, Héctor Difó, thanked for the support received and assured that the family maintains their faith in God throughout their son’s medical process.

“This is a long process, as the hematologist informed us, but we have put the recovery of my son in God’s hands. We have received help from family and friends, and today we are very grateful for this contribution. God will provide,” she stated through tears. Difó highlighted the positive impact that these types of solidarity initiatives generate in families facing difficult health-related situations. “Illnesses arrive without warning, but also appear kind hands and supportive hearts that help to move forward,” expressed the young man’s father.
