Santiago Matías celebrates a record of 1.8 million connected devices in La Casa de Alofoke, consolidating his leadership in digital media. Santo Domingo.- On the night of Thursday, August 28, it was etched in the history of Latin American digital entertainment. La Casa de Alofoke, the reality show created by businessman and communicator Santiago Matías, reached a new global milestone by simultaneously connecting to more than 1.8 million devices worldwide, an unprecedented figure for a program produced from the Dominican Republic. Visibly emotional, Santiago opened his heart and shared with De Último Minuto, the feeling of gratitude and surprise at what has happened in these last few weeks.

“At first, I had medium expectations, we didn’t really know what was going to happen. But what we are experiencing now is an achievement of God, of the Dominican people and of the entire Latin community, who have believed in this project”, he expressed, moved.

Beyond the figures, La Casa de Alofoke has achieved something that few productions have managed: connecting millions of people through culture, humor, music, human emotions and, above all, Dominican identity. What began as a bold experiment by Santiago and his production team has now become a platform with global impact, which has been highlighted by internationally renowned media such as Hola! magazine in English.

“Esto no lo hemos hecho solos. Esto lo han hecho los técnicos que trabajan 24 horas sin descanso, los concursantes, sus familias, los seguidores en TikTok, en Instagram, en Facebook y X. Es un trabajo en conjunto. Una bendición”,

dijo Santiago, agradeciendo a todos los que han aportado su grano de arena a este fenómeno.
A fundamental element that has characterized this first season of the reality show has been the vindication of merengue, an autochthonous genre of the Dominican Republic, which has found a new showcase for exposure in the house. Artists like Sergio Vargas, Elvis Crespo, and El Bachy have been part of the experience, bringing their live music together with their groups to millions of people around the world. Santiago expressed that after signing with the important record label Sony Music, he has taken on the commitment to provide a platform for visibility and international recognition to merengue, an autochthonous genre of Dominicans, a promise that he has been fulfilling in the two weeks that the reality show has been running, since the three artists who have performed live on the show are all of the merengue genre.

“Con la firma de Sony Music dijimos que había un compromiso con el merengue, el meregue house también bien interesante y lo hemos cumplido. Era necesario rescatar, exponer y dar protagonismo a lo nuestro. El merengue es identidad, es alegría, es raíz”,

afirmó Santiago, destacando que esta generación necesita reconectar con sus sonidos originales.
The artist announced that a release uniting two eras of merengue is coming in the next few days, this being one of the first proposals to be launched after the unification of Alofoke Music with Sony Music. The plans don’t stop, because in the same broadcast, Matías announced an event at the Agganis Arena in Boston next Saturday, February 28, 2026, a show that, according to Santiago, promises to be an immersive experience, without chairs, cell phones or distractions, sponsored by YouTube.

“We want people to stop, dance, vibrate, and live the experience as it should be: present and connected with their people, without being glued to their cell phones,” explained Santiago.

Amid records, music, emotions, and a community that never stops growing, La Casa de Alofoke has become a symbol of exportable quality production from the Dominican Republic. The businessman did not rule out the possibility of a second season of the reality show, however, he made it clear that the priority at this moment is to continue doing a good job in this first season and that is something that could be achieved later.

“This is just the beginning. House 2.0 is coming, but first, let’s celebrate what God has allowed us to build today,” concluded Santiago, with joy and gratitude.
