América Editorial Staff.- The Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, which serves Caracas and had been closed since June 24 due to the damage caused by the double earthquake that struck Venezuela that day, will resume its cargo aviation operations starting August 5.

This is the first step towards a gradual reopening of the airport, which is the country’s main one, with a view to “guaranteeing the progressive resumption of services” at this air terminal, as reported by the Ministry of Transport in a statement published this Friday night.
