Woman arrested for allegedly swindling a merchant with a fake investment in digital services in Santiago
Santiago. – A woman identified as Rosa María Pérez Núñez was arrested during a raid carried out by the National Police and the Public Ministry in the municipality of Puñal, in Santiago, accused of allegedly defrauding a Santiago businesswoman of the sum of 200 thousand pesos, under the claim of investing in digital services.
The arrest was carried out by arrest warrant No. 2025-AJ0021799 and search warrant No. 2025-AJ0056104, as reported by the Regional Sub-Directorate of Investigations (DICRIM).
According to the complaint filed on March 3, 2025, the victim gave the money to the now-detained person with the promise of receiving 50% of the profits, but never obtained benefits or tangible proof of the supposed investment.
The complainant claimed that, despite receiving multiple excuses and WhatsApp messages, Pérez Núñez never fulfilled the agreement, which uncovered the alleged scam.
Although objects linked to the case were not seized in the search, the accused was placed under the control of the Public Ministry, which will continue the investigations to establish criminal responsibilities.
