Abinader will hold a working meeting this afternoon at the Ministry of Education

Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader will lead a working meeting this afternoon with the top officials of the Ministry of Education, in an action that demonstrates his firm commitment to strengthening the national education system. The meeting is scheduled for three in the afternoon and its main objective is to evaluate the preparations for the next school year.

In the meeting, in addition to the minister, Luis Miguel De Camps, the vice ministers, technicians and principal officials will participate, which highlights President Abinader’s concern for guaranteeing a quality, inclusive and efficient education for all Dominicans. The Abinader administration has spearheaded key initiatives such as the National Student Transportation Program (TRAE), with the aim of ensuring safe, free, and dignified transportation for students. Significant improvements have also been made to school breakfasts, ensuring better nutrition, as well as the construction of new schools and the renovation of educational centers nationwide, thus raising the levels of quality and dignity in teaching spaces.
