In a statement, Arajet highlighted that these figures represent a growth of over 100% compared to 2024 for the airline in the Argentine market, and it occurs in a context of general expansion of the company, which in 2025 transported almost 1.5 million people, a growth of 37% in its overall network compared to the previous year. This increase in air traffic also aligns with the sustained growth of Argentine tourism towards Dominican Republic, which increased by 62% in 2025, the note underlined, which specified that Argentina has consolidated as the third most important market for the Dominican Republic in terms of tourists, only surpassed by the United States and Canada. According to the Dominican Ministry of Tourism, 442,088 Argentinians traveled to the Dominican Republic in the last year, compared to 272,450 in 2024. Arajet, which flies to Buenos Aires and Córdoba, plans to inaugurate this year routes from the Argentine locations of Mendoza and Rosario to the tourist destination of Punta Cana, east of the Dominican Republic, both with three weekly frequencies, starting operations in May and June respectively.
