Santo Domingo.- Members of the Cyber Police Area Directorate, in the province of La Romana, arrested a man accused of making unrecognized purchases with a bank card stolen from a citizen on January 29, 2026, for an amount exceeding RD$400,000.00, in six commercial establishments in that demarcation.

The investigations carried out by the specialized agents established that the accused made purchases for a total of RD$419,878.00 in different commercial establishments such as an entertainment center, a fuel sales station, and two casinos. The detainee is under the control of the Public Ministry for the corresponding legal purposes.
