Hearing in the new trial against Elizabeth Silverio postponed to March 16

Santo Domingo.- The court hearing the new trial against Elizabeth Silverio postponed the hearing until March 16, in the process she faces for alleged illegal practice of medicine, following a complaint filed in an investigative program. During the hearing, held in the Ninth Chamber of the Criminal Chamber of the Court of First Instance of the National District, several witnesses were heard, including parents of children linked to the case and the director of Habilitation of the Ministry of Public Health of the Dominican Republic. The legal process takes place after the Third Chamber of the Criminal Chamber of the Court of Appeals of the National District annulled the sentence that had previously sentenced Silverio to seven years in prison. The decision ordered a new trial to review the case.
