Guarapo, Las Gordas, Nagua. — On the night of May 31, 2026, a man identified as Boni lost his life after being wounded by several stabs during an alleged argument that took place in the community of Guarapo, belonging to the municipal district of Las Gordas. Nagua Municipality, MTS.RD.
According to preliminary information, the incident allegedly originated from a debt of approximately 2,000 pesos that the victim supposedly owed to another man identified as Carlos Marte. Witnesses indicate that both had a heated argument and that, allegedly, Boni stated that he would not make the payment, a situation that reportedly triggered the confrontation.
According to the versions obtained, Carlos Marte allegedly drew a bladed weapon and inflicted several wounds on Boni. The victim was rushed for emergency medical assistance; however, he passed away while being transported near the Boba bridge in Nagua.
So far, Carlos Marte remains a fugitive, although it is presumed that he could turn himself in to the authorities in the coming hours to answer for this incident.
