Santo Domingo. – The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) dismissed the request filed to stop the implementation of the resolution by the Central Electoral Board (JCE) that establishes how the economic resources provided by the State to political parties, groups, and movements will be distributed during 2026.
The petition was filed by the Vision Nation Project (PVN) and José Cristopher Ramírez, who sought to have Resolution 01-2026 of the JCE provisionally suspended while the main process is being heard.
The judges considered that the precautionary measure did not meet the conditions required by article 160 of the Regulations for Contentious Electoral Procedures. Among the requirements is demonstrating the appearance of good law, imminent damage that is difficult or impossible to repair, and that there is a relationship between the requested measure and the main process.
Although the court determined that the application met the formal requirements to be heard, it concluded that the arguments presented did not justify the suspension of the resolution issued by the JCE.
In its decision, the TSE also dismissed the approach of the Central Electoral Board that questioned the legitimacy of the PVN to participate in the process. The magistrates pointed out that, for a precautionary petition, it is necessary for it to be linked to a main process in progress.
In that sense, they established that both the Vision Nation Project and Ramírez are part of the main lawsuit identified with file TSE-01-0021-2026, and therefore have the required procedural link.

The court also did not accept the JCE’s argument that the request lacked purpose, under the claim that the resolution had already been executed and that the corresponding funds for this year had been distributed.
The magistrates indicated that the Board did not present sufficient documentation to demonstrate that the entirety of the funds contemplated in Resolution 01-2026 had been delivered to the beneficiary political organizations.

The TSE ordered that the decision be communicated to the parties through its Secretariat and published on the institutional portal.
