Santo Domingo, RD – The National Health Insurance (SeNaSa) informed that it will guarantee access to medications for all its affiliates, after receiving resolution RIC-0109-2025 issued by the General Directorate of Public Procurement (DGCP), which annuls the contract made with the company Farmacard, S.R.L.
The institution stated, through an official statement, that it welcomes the decision with responsibility and respect, and that, as stipulated in the resolution, the service will continue uninterrupted.
SeNaSa reported that it will make the necessary arrangements to convene a new procurement procedure, in accordance with the provisions of Law 340-06 on Public Procurement and Contracting and its amendments.
The organization assured that it will act as a guarantor of access to medications, without compromising the quality or availability of services to its members.
Likewise, SeNaSa reported that it has already begun the corresponding procedures to comply with the mandates of the DGCP, in coordination with the competent bodies, in order to ensure an orderly and transparent transition.
The institution reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, the efficient use of public resources, and the protection of the general interest.
Finally, SeNaSa reiterated that it will continue working diligently to strengthen the Dominican Social Security System, complying with current regulations and in close collaboration with the authorities.
